Renault F1 Distro Solutions

We have worked with Lotus, Renault F1, Force India and Mercedes F1 to name a few. We have always provided timely solutions for an industry with exacting standards and strict deadlines.

Alongside Formula 1, the up and coming ABB Formula E series of racing has also looked to KES Power and Light for their electrical needs. We have provided distribution boxes and industrial adaptors, plugs and sockets to teams such as NIO in the UK.

For the Renault F1 team we were involved in the design and build of a large selection of distro boxes. Each one designed for its specific purpose with a variety of PCE industrial plugs and connectors and different ampage and voltage to draw the power needed. Through sockets were also added to many units to allow them to be joined together or “daisy chained”. These distros were needed by the team as they travel the globe to have a reliable means of distributing their power where and when needed. The safety aspects of Formula 1 are always paramount in everything they do and as part of this both MCB and RCBO protection was used in the design and manufacture of these bespoke units. For ease of access the protection is mounted behind Perspex windows for simple location of tripped rcbo’s and test switches allowing them to monitor the supply. Being stackable as shown in the picture makes the solution both easy to transport and set up when at location.
