A Bit About K.E.S A Bit About Me
19/02/2019
Welcome to our new blog, I will be covering all the fun and interesting stuff that goes on here at KES along with an insight into my own journey with the company.
Well where do I begin? I suppose the start is a good place. I first walked through the doors of KES some 28 years ago, as a 4 year old, with my father on Saturday mornings when he came to work. Now they do say train them young but I think was probably a bit small to reach the workbenches.
Further down the line I came in during school holidays, to help in the busy summer period. I would cut cable, wind festoon and worked dispatching transformers and distro boxes with the guys in stores. Then KES decided to join the world of the internet around the year 2000 and I was responsible for the first ever website, now long forgotten and much improved.
Quite a few years then passed without any involvement in KES and I went of to be a Chef working all over the world (I know not exactly a normal career path). And now here I am back again, taking care of social media and web based activities for the sales team.
Enough about me, lets see what’s new within KES. We have some exciting new products from PCE. Mentioned in one of our news articles here, we have 2 new distribution solutions and a development of the PCE plug and Socket.
For the ditros there is an addition to the St. Anton (right) range, with the possibility to add protection, along with extra sockets meaning more choice, still in a compact design.
Ischl (left) is a new product from PCE, all with 2 metres of H07 cable to plug for incoming and 9 sockets outgoing, ranging from 13a to 32a, 230v to 400v. A stackable design makes these ideal for the events industry.
The development from PCE is the new CEE plugs and connectors with rubberized surfaces provide more safety and a perfect grip for all environments and applications. Available in 5 pin, 16a and 32a from 110v to 400v. We will be offering the standard screw terminal, turbo terminal screwless connection and the all black midnight range, which is ever popular in the event environment.
