Do you know about 125a Design changes?
30/06/2023
PCE has recently announced that they have updated the housing design of their PCE 63/125a (125a) connectors and plugs.
This change applies to 04 and 24 plugs in the 125a versions. Previously the 125a had a CQC approval for sales in China.
However, the 125a has been upgraded with improved housing and a new IP67 rating. The higher IP rating is due to the combination of weather-proof exterior sockets. The new 125a is strong enough to withstand the most difficult locations.
Popular in both the distribution and events industry for its ability to be used in cabling for large distribution (distro) boxes, typically either to distribute a lot of outgoing sockets or when a large distro splits into a few higher amp sockets.
Powering your site safely
The new CEE 63/125a plugs and socket casings are designed for heavy-duty industries. E.g. construction sites, power plants, and other sites containing a large array of tools and equipment.
These tools and equipment are generally spread out over a wide area and need to be supplied with substantial power.
This is where the new, updated 125a comes into its own for its hardiness and safety features; it’s ideal for keeping everyone on site safe. The new update was created with a twist cable and a 10-point anti-corrosion contact with optimum grips.
The new 125a casing has minimum contact resistance for low insertion and extraction force. It’s perfect for easily connecting your cables safely and securely. Having been specially designed to be suitable for extreme environments, the new 125a offers protection in aggressive atmospheres, e.g. chemical plants.
The new housing is made from heavy-duty plastic. It is resistant to high impact and extreme heat. The power twist function has 3 main advantages: safety, heavy-duty use and being time-saving. For more information, contact a member of our experienced team.
