KES supporting The Churchill Foundation
23/08/2022
What better way to give back to the community we help power than through charitable support?
We are excited to announce that KES has become a business partner of The Churchill Foundation.
After years of working closely with Churchill Retirement, it felt like a natural fit to support their charity foundation.
At KES, our partnership with Churchill includes supplying them with PCE plugs and sockets, industrial lighting and supplying and servicing their transformers at their 160 locations nationwide. We are delighted to not only strengthen our relationship by supporting their excellent foundation but to be able to give something back to the many good causes they support.
Churchill Retirement is a family-owned business that has thrived over the years since it was established in 1994. Like KES, family values are at their core, and, like us, they embed their heritage, passion and pride into everything they do. With our values aligned, supporting our customer's charity goals was an easy decision for KES’s Managing Director, Jason Robinson.
Founded in 2015, the Churchill Foundation is designed to enable Churchill Retirement to give back to the communities surrounding their developments and to national causes. The criteria for charities being supported is that they transform lives through 3 core pillars:
- The relief of sickness, disease and human suffering
- The promotion of health amongst the elderly
- The support and wellbeing of the young
KES’s Promise to Churchill
It is our promise as a business partner to support Churchill’s 0.75% giving back scheme. For every KES invoice raised to Churchill, 0.75% of the net value of the invoice is deducted and goes directly to support the Foundation.
It’s a fantastic partner scheme raising over £1 million in the first three years since it was established. Since 2018, the charity has reached another fundraising milestone of £1.75 million. This includes raising over £57,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in 2021.
Want to nominate a charity?
Do you know a deserving good course or charity? Another plus point that drew KES to support the Churchill Foundation is that anyone can nominate a chosen charity or good cause to receive support. Small grants are available, ranging from £500 - £2000 to various causes nationwide. Or you could nominate your charity for the annual charity partner scheme where they could receive £20,000 -£50,000.
So, friends of KES, you can submit your chosen charities or good causes directly to The Churchill Foundation or just let one of the KES team know, and we’ll do the rest.
