1973 saw a lot of change, the Sydney Opera House was opened, US troops withdrew from Vietnam and Britain joined the equivalent of the EU back then (maybe we won’t dwell on that!). Closer to home for KES and in our industry, perhaps the most significant event was our partners PCE started trading!

We are excited to be celebrating 50 years of PCE and send a huge congratulations to the team. Founded in 1973 in Austria, they are now a name synonymous with quality products and perhaps best known for CEE plugs and connectors. Over the past 50 years PCE has seen a lot of change from several revolutionary inventions such as the TAURUS (2001) and DELTA distribution box (2012) to business expansion with Brandt (2001), TT (2007) and many more. Now PCE boasts over 900 employees over 6 locations.

KES’s journey with PCE started over 45 years ago. Over that time we have built a strong relationship with PCE’s brilliant team. A relationship that has led to us becoming PCE’s exclusive UK distributor. It’s an honour we take very seriously.

To celebrate 50 years of PCE we have put a list together of our favourite PCE products that we know our clients love as well:

1)     IMST

The IMST range of ever-popular small portable distros are essential at any event, on film and tv locations, markets and exhibition halls. Splitting power in various ways, from 16a to 32a, in 3 phase and single phase with options on breaker protection, they can be taken from stock or bespoke made to order.

2)     H-connect

Last year we launched the all-new PCE H-connect, and we worked closely with PCE to add this splitter to our range of distribution solutions. The H-connect has one 16a 230v 3-pin power inlet and 3 x 16a 230v 3-pin sockets providing more flexibility in the midnight splitter range.

3)     Midnight range

Made in Midnight Black thermoplastics for the events industry, these have proved to be incredibly popular. Covering almost all of the PCE range of industrial plugs and sockets from 16a to 125a in 110v, 230v and 400v, they blend perfectly into the background on any stage.
