Another great day for a great cause
Here at KES Power and Light we have been involved in this event for many years now. Always a good day out and for a great cause. The charities supported are Naomi House and Jacks Place. Involved in offering support for children, young adults and their families in times of need, Naomi House is the centre for looking after children with Jacks Place looking after young adults up
to the age of 35 with health needs and end of life care.
As far as the day went we put in a solid mid-table performance finishing on 8 under par and in 12th place of the 20 teams who entered. We were unfortunately unable though to repeat our past 2 years of success at "beating the pro" on a nearest the pin competition but the course as always was in beautiful
condition and we don't know how they do it, but the sun was shining again!
To keep the charity vibe going once all the golfing is done there is a charity raffle with some fantastic prizes. This year Richard Hoo from the KES team was lucky enough to win 4 tickets to
watch West Ham play at the London Stadium along with our table mates for dinner A-Bird generators taking home a couple of prizes, including a Kindle!
We would just like to say a big thanks to Wingate for organising such a great event, for such a worthy cause. We look forward to next year!
